DTP620 Service Combining Inserter
The DTP620 provides combined databridge and teletext inserter facilities used to generate a regional teletext service by combining an incoming service, transmitted nationally, with locally-generated pages.

A portion of the incoming teletext service, consisting of a selectable range of pages in each magazine is captured and stored in the inserter. Any incoming page which is not updated within two minutes is removed. Local pages are created using the MRG teletext editor MiniTED. These can be sent to the inserter from a local PC using Com1 on the inserter or remotely via a modem using the second port, Com2 on the inserter.
The local combined service can be transmitted on any of the available datalines in the vbi. These need not match the lines used for incoming service.

Insertion streaming is supported, so that different magazines can be transmitted at different rates independently of the rate at which the incoming service is received. The DTP620 is a software application which runs on the MRG DTP600 Databridge/Inserter hardware.
