DTP910 In-vision Decoder
The feature rich DTP910 is the latest in the family of In Vision Character Generators (IVCG) used for monitoring teletext transmitted in a video signal or serial data stream. The DTP910 can decode text from either a digital source (270Mb/s 4:2:2) PAL composite (CVBS) or a RS232/422 Newfor protocol serial data feed, effectively giving you three previous products in a single 1U sized box.
It decodes selected text pages/subtitles and overlays it onto the video image (similar to the 'mixed' text mode on some consumer TVs). The resultant video can then be fed to an analogue monitor using one of the two composite and single S-Video outputs, or to a SDI-capable monitor using one of the two SDI outputs.
Because the DTP910 always produces an analogue and digital output, it can be used to convert digital to analogue or vice versa, giving maximum flexibility in any mixed set-up of sources and monitors.
All video inputs have loop through connection, so the unit can be installed into existing set-ups with minimum wiring disturbance.

Subtitle Monitoring
The DTP910 makes an ideal subtitle monitor with a wide range of decoding options. Input choices are:
- Analogue VBI Teletext
- Digital VBI Teletext
- Serial Newfor
The output is an in-vision signal with both analogue and digital outputs available simultaneously.
The device can even output the incoming VBI subtitles on the serial line as Newfor data.
