History

MRG Systems was founded in 1983 to provide innovative high-performance information display systems to the stockbroker market using as-yet unexploited teletext technology.

Recognising the viability of such systems, the company diversified into both display and broadcast markets appropriate to the technology. Major contracts quickly ensued – for example for William Hill (display systems in 1100 shops) and satellite broadcasters (European installations of 1000 multilingual subtitle displays).

This dual market success has resulted in enhanced display systems that have been used in airports, railways and meeting areas together with more complex, but mainly teletext-based products for broadcasters.

Our technology helps drive our clients’ businesses forward. A new-generation high-performance display system was developed for the leading Irish bookmaker Paddy Power. When the system was originally installed in 1994, the company had 25 head office employees and no screen system. Paddy Power is now a PLC with 250 head office employees. Shop displays were enhanced in 2006 to the latest MRG 28 screen system.

Broadcast systems have increased in range and complexity. MRG teletext, audio and control systems are used across Europe and the UK.
