Aug 2006 - MRG makes BIDS for Betting Show attention

Information is power and MRG has developed a system to help bookmakers make the most of this power and their screen systems.

Product range - MRG Systems

MRG Systems, one of Europe's largest providers of display systems for bookmakers, is pulling out all the stops at the Betting Show to ensure that bookmakers visit its stand.

The company used its range of contemporary stand design and visionary solutions as its product focus in 2005, but this year it has switched emphasis to its touchscreen racing pages, its interactive customer terminals and a fresh, modern appeal.

MRG's Bryan Corbin believes that his company's stand has a lot to offer Betting Show visitors looking to take their business to the next level.

Among the products on display will be the Betting Information Display System (BIDS). BIDS is already used by Paddy Power and Coral at the heart of operations as it provides all the controls needed for a fast modern service.
The product has automated more processes than any other solution available in the industry, freeing staff to get on with more important aspects of the business. MRG has developed BIDS to such a high degree that 'Dead Screen Time' can be eliminated and more innovative marketing and novelty betting opportunities can be inserted to maximise activity at the tills.

Also on display will be the Customer Terminal, which allows users to navigate through a set of pages to review prices or results of any event covered in the last thirty days. Early prices, ante post, in-running betting and sports betting data are all available for the most comprehensive service available for today's information hungry customers looking to increase their success.

Corbin also revealed that MRG will be exhibiting the 32 inch touchscreen display showing racing pages, which offers a 'radically different' way of viewing racing data compared to paper and lends more flexibility to promotions and shop displays.

With more and more shops segmenting their betting shops into different zones, MRG has developed the AVS500 to zone the audio. With the capacity for four inputs and six outputs, with induction loop on one of these zones, MRG believes no other amplifier offers more for the betting shop environment. Seamless control of the volume between the zones is controlled centrally through BIDS, leaving shop managers to concentrate on the shop and not other distractions.

Corbin commented that MRG offers the latest product range that drives the customer experience ahead by a clear margin. He added: “We offer practical new ideas with a serious outcome. For the most comprehensive, automated and intuitive central system available, visitors to the Betting Show should come to the MRG stand to try out BIDS for themselves. We will be operating an open, hands-on policy to let everyone experience the easiness of BIDS with advice available if they wish to speak to a member of staff.”
