SIScom success

SIScom success

If you are a SIS customer you will know that during the regularly held customer forums audio switching frequently appeared on the agenda at past meetings. Customers described how the manual switching process was awkward during busy periods. These discussions led SIS to respond with a commitment to resolve the problem.

During 2010 they approached us for a solution, and now, over the last few months, many bookmakers have benefitted from the installation of a SIScom unit (red box). James Hanlon, Product Manager for SIS, remarked; “The introduction of SIScom has been a great success for the independent customers who take SIS and TTV pictures, allowing for seamless audio switching between the two services.” At the time of writing (July 2011) circa 1,000 units have been successfully installed.

This isn’t the only collaboration between the two companies, SIS and MRG have a long history together. It began when SIS asked MRG to develop a solution that would enable the main TV screen in betting shops switch channels between SIS and terrestrial coverage of horse-racing, controlled remotely from the SIS studio. The result was the BTVC (blue box) which many Independent bookmakers have in their shops.

MRG are delighted to have worked closely with SIS on these projects and look forward to future projects of mutual benefit to both companies that will also benefit the wider industry.
